  • Idea: Have graduate students working on related projects sit in on meetings with the REU students.
  • Objective: Graduate students contribute constructive criticism and make connections with their own work.
  • What works well: We just have our grad students sit in on meetings and listen while the REU students present their work. Often the grad students know of relevant material and can point the REU students in the right direction. In addition to the direct benefit of additional feedback, the grad students give the REU students experience interacting with a group that isn't their immediate peer group or their research mentors.
  • What doesn’t work well: Nothing to report at the moment.
  • Assessment data: Nothing to report at the moment.
